A quick note to officially say that CRE Loaded is almost done with its BETA and release of 6.4.2.

It is a mainly a maintenance release with new PayPal and CRE Secure integrations.

The CRE Secure module includes ability to store card tokens and a method to submit new charges to the gateway with those tokens via the order admin page. This is Huge. This allows merchants that need to do additional authorizations of cards after an order to do so WITHOUT storing the card data in their site. The idea is to get out of PCI Compliance scope. Completely. And in doing so, save money on the scams that are ASV scans and actually know your card data is secure.

Yes I said it. ASV Scans are scams for small and medium merchant websites. They do not protect you, they are just smoke and mirrors to cover the collective asses of the payment industry. Passing a scan does not absolve you of any fees or black balling if you get breached.

CRE Secure is the absolute best method to get out of the mess that is PCI for your website, not only for CRE Loaded carts but other carts as well.

In the weeks and months to come you will see more on CRE Secure and how it solves the PCI Compliance problems, not only for your store, but for the industry as well. Yes CRE Secure is going to save the credit card industry. You’re welcome.

Also the update will include a feature fix to the sales by category to include sale makers missing capabilities.

Your’s evilly,

The Evil Overlord.

Magento Imagine Conference in Las Vegas ended a couple of weeks ago, however, the positive effect created among the 1200+ participants seems to still remain (@MagentoImagine). More than 100 solution partners all over the world attended the conference. SmartOSC, being the only Vietnamese partner present this year, had the opportunity to experience this fun, inspiring and productive event.

Magento registered a high development during the past year. Acquired by Ebay in 2011, the Magento community now has over 800,000 members, 5600+ extensions made by 2,500 developers, and nearly 400 solution partners. Over 100,000 merchants rely on the platform.

During the three days, many topics of interest have been covered, from technology-focused sessions such as security, caching, deployment of Magento Enterprise, to business presentations such as “Web Merchandising”, “How to sell globally with Magento”.

It’s not so hard to notice that Asia is one of the growing markets for Magento, and while Australia has registered a high demand during the recent years, countries like China or Vietnam are showing up as very potential markets.

This year’s theme “What’s your Story” seems to be perfect, connecting merchants, developers, and agencies from all over the world.

So what’s our Story?

Since it’s inception in 2004, SmartOSC has positioned itself to become one of the leaders in the e-commerce service providers market. In late 2008, after implementing +100 ecommerce projects, we figured out we needed to focus on a serious platform. Magento was a perfect fit. Today, Magento is one of the most recommended and implemented platforms for our customers.

As of April 2012, with over 80 people, SmartOSC are proud to be one of the leading players within the Vietnamese markets, with more than 300 customers served, 400 projects completed and 200 extension licenses sold.

Finally, we would like to say “Thank you!” to all our old and new friends we met at the Conference. This is an amazing community, and the new business partnerships made during the conference is perhaps the most valuable thing we gained.

Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for further information regarding our Magento services.

Tripletex is a 100% web-based accounting system which is developed and provided by the Norwegian company Tripletex AS. Tripletex is the perfect financial system for small shops running Magento. The Tripletex module provides full payrolls records, expense reports, employee disbursements, direct tax-filing, KID-payment, etc., beside basic Magento orders management functions.

Our Tripletex extension lets you easily synchronize all the invoices from your Magento online store directly into Tripletex, where they are being recorded properly. Accountants can get full access to Tripletex, and will thus be able to manage the accounts for you without either them or you having to install a single application on your local PC’s.

Features:

1. Add Payment methods:

You can add more payment methods by using Add store button

For each payment type you are using with Magento (PayPal, credit card), you must have a similar type of payment in Tripletex so Tripletex can record the payment. Payment types in Tripletex are administered via Accounting ? Settings ? Payment Types, see the section Payment.

2. Export invoice to Tripletex:

Invoice will be transferred from Magento admin shop to Tripletex accounting system.
Go to Sales ? Invoices. In the Invoices table, choose the “Not exported” invoices that you want to export to Tripletex system. Then choose Export to Tripletex action and Submit.

If the export invoice is successfully, the invoice will be displayed in the Tripletex invoice overview:

You can also configure the module, so that the transfer will automatically be processed within a specified time interval:

Export Active: Set to Yes to automatically transfer invoices taken into use.

Interval: Select the frequency with which invoices are to be transferred to Tripletex, choose between Daily, every hour or every 5 minutes.

Import Active: set to Yes to automatically check open invoices against Tripletex.

3. Tripletex Customer Number

When invoices are exported to Tripletex system, new customers will be created on Tripletex system. To check the customer number on Tripletex from Magento, go to Customer ?Manage Customers ? Account Information ? Tripletex customer number
